Case Study – Integrated Wheat and Corn Mill Facility in South Sudan (2020-2023)
We built the country’s largest flour and corn processing complex in Jua city, South Sudan, for Prestige Millers company. A special system was designed where both wheat and corn could be processed on separate lines under the same roof. The project, which began in 2020, was successfully delivered in 2023 with phased developments. The facility has an integrated structure capable of producing 100 tons per hour corn drying unit, packaging lines for different package types ranging from 1-50 kg, 15,000-ton raw material storage area, and simultaneous production of wheat flour, semolina, bran, and corn flour, semolina, and bran. This structure has become a success story exemplified not only in South Sudan but throughout the African continent.
Case Study – Seed Processing Facilities for Rural Development in Ethiopia (2016-2017)
Between 2016-2017, within the scope of a rural development program supported by USAID, TANIS established 4 seed processing facilities with 15 tons/hour capacity in different regions of Ethiopia. This project with a total budget of 3 million USD was completed as turnkey in just 10 months. To ensure the operational sustainability of each facility, a total of 20 local personnel were included in a comprehensive training program and qualified to receive operator certificates. The project made concrete contributions to regional development by improving the quality and efficiency of local agricultural production.
