More than 60 Years of Experience in the Mill Machinery Sector

Tanış A.Ş. has been serving as one of Turkey’s pioneering organizations in the field of grain processing and mill technologies since 1956. Our organization, whose foundations were laid by Ali Kemal Tan in a 100m² shop in Gaziantep Sıhcan, has today become a reliable brand in the mill machinery sector with modern production facilities and a wide product range.

Proper processing of grains is critically important for quality grain products. As Tanış A.Ş., we accompany the long journey of wheat, corn and barley with our own deep-rooted adventure in the history of mill machinery. While 3% of world wheat production and 4.8% of barley production takes place in our country, we continue to develop innovative technologies for the most efficient processing of these valuable raw materials.

Our company, founded by Ali Kemal Tan in Gaziantep in 1956, began its adventure in the sector by installing the first mill that came from Germany to Gaziantep. Under the leadership of father Ali Kemal Tan and son Kemal Tan, with the diligence and work passion coming from family roots, service was provided to the entire region in the manufacturing of mills and grain-legume screens with working hours exceeding 20 hours a day.

Our company, which carried out the manufacturing and shipment of more than 10,000 units of stone mills between 1956-1980 when the foundry industry was not developed, achieved the success of being one of the three manufacturers producing in the same sector in Turkey between 1960-1980. Our production of grain and legume screens was effective in the development of agriculture in the region in seed and legume breeding.

Between 1975-1986, our production area expanded to 1,600m², and in 1986 we moved to our factory with an area of 30,000m² in Gaziantep 1st Organized Industrial Zone, achieving significant growth. We continue to grow with the production modernization we carried out in 2016 and the new factory we opened in Mersin in 2020.

Today, under the umbrella of Tanış Group, we continue our activities with four separate companies: Tanış Mill Machinery, Tanış Seed Technologies, Tanış Steel Construction and Tanış Animal Feed.
