Frequently Asked Questions

The maintenance interval for roller systems varies depending on operating hours and the type of grain being processed. In general, comprehensive maintenance is recommended every 500–600 operating hours. Daily inspections, weekly cleaning, and monthly adjustments should follow the checklists provided in the maintenance manual. In high-capacity facilities, this interval may be reduced to 400 hours based on the condition of the equipment.

To increase mill capacity, a bottleneck analysis should first be conducted. Common parameters that typically require optimization include: roller load and differential speed ratios, sifter efficiency and cleanliness, tempering time and moisture levels, elevator and conveyor transfer capacities, and process control within the automation system. Our “Capacity Optimization Guide” document provides detailed analysis methods and how to optimize each parameter.

Error codes in Tanış Automation Systems are presented as an alphanumeric combination. Codes starting with “E” indicate electrical issues, “M” indicates mechanical problems, “P” represents process-related issues, and “S” signifies software errors. The number following the letter specifies the exact type of fault. For detailed explanations and troubleshooting methods, please refer to our “Error Codes and Solutions” document.

The minimum stock level for spare parts and consumables should be based on the equipment’s criticality, lead time, usage frequency, and failure statistics. For critical equipment (such as main motors, control boards, and rollers), it is recommended to keep at least one spare on hand. For consumables (such as belts, filters, and sieve cloths), a stock covering 3–6 months of consumption should be maintained. Detailed stock calculation methods and criticality analysis are available in our “Spare Parts Management Guide.”
